Tips for Serving Alcohol at Your Next Event

Have a Variety of Fun Non-Alcoholic Drinks:
Not all of the drinks served at your event have to be alcoholic. Many people actually prefer not to drink at events for professional reasons or they may be driving afterwards, and there may be children in attendance that want to feel more "grown-up". There are a ton of drink options to serve that are still fun and creative that you can serve.
Have a Time Limit for Drink Service:
It's a good idea to stop serving drinks at a reasonable time to signal that your event will be ending soon. You may want to stop serving alcohol about an hour before you are ready for your event to end. This is for those guests that may have had a little too much fun enough time to sober up before they have to leave.
If You Are Serving Food:
Always try to serve food at the beginning of your event. This is so your guests are not drinking on an empty stomach. Serving food, even if it's just appetizers, at the very start of your event may help maintain a certain level of sobriety for those attending. Also, you may think about serving smaller bite sized foods and even coffee at the end to help people sober up even more before leaving and hitting the road.
Limit the Number of Drinks:
Yes, we know that you want your guests and those attending your event to mingle, network and have a good time, but you also want to avoid a serious incident or accident. The best way to do this is to limit how much your guests can drink. You can do this by giving them drink tickets, set a drink limit, or to shorten the time alcohol is served. This is the safest way to ensure and monitor consumption at your event.
